When the Red Rocks Cancer Center was looking to develop a nutrition program for patients, Dr. Rebecca Knight knew exactly where to turn.
Cheryl Rojic is a a two-time cancer survivor and knew Knight from her time in treatment. She also has been a personal chef for 12 years and recently became certified as a holistic health and nutrition counselor from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
So Knight contacted Rojic, who started working with cancer care coordinator Ann Meade, to start “Kickin’ Cancer in the Kitchen,” which Rojic has been teaching since July at the Golden center near Lakewood.
