Andre duPlessis Named Chief Operating Officer

March 2012 (Denver, CO) - Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at P/SL announced that Andre duPlessis is the new Chief Operating Officer.

Andre began his HCA career in 1997 as Chief Operating Officer at Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Lafayette, Louisiana. He joined Tulane-Lakeside Hospital as Chief Operating Officer in 2005, and has been Chief Operating Officer at Tulane Medical Center since August 2007. Andre played a leadership role in rebuilding Tulane Medical Center in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. He was responsible for managing $67 million in capital expansions and led key strategic initiatives including cardiovascular services, orthopedics, neurosciences, cancer care, and the Tulane Hospital for Children. Tulane’s clinical profile is very similar to that of P/SL and RMHC at P/SL, focusing on tertiary and quaternary care programs such as abdominal transplant, surgery, oncology, women’s services, pediatric and neonatal services and regional outreach.

President and CEO, Mimi Roberson says she is privileged to bring Andre on board, “Andre’s collaborative style combined with his intelligence and passion for patient care will be a great fit for our medical center.”

About Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at P/SL

Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at P/SL (RMHC at P/SL) is a regional resource for specialty pediatric care founded nearly twenty years ago by private practice pediatric specialists at HealthONE’s Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center in central Denver. It is home to the region’s largest and most successful high-risk maternity service and an 84-bed intensive care newborn nursery—keeping mothers and babies together in the same hospital for optimal care.
