Mimi Roberson, President and CEO
Mimi Roberson is President and CEO of Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at P/SL. Ms. Roberson began her role as CEO in 2000. She has a Juris Doctorate from Louisiana State University and practiced law for 11 years before her career in hospital administration.
Ms. Roberson is an active and talented leader taking on many roles in local, state and federal organizations. She has held leadership positions in the Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, including Chair. “It is a distinct privilege to work closely with leaders of Denver and the state of Colorado in an effort to constantly improve on the current health care system. As CEO and President of both Presbyterian/St. Luke’s Medical Center and Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children at P/SL, I am dedicated to providing only the best quality care possible to our patients and their families. My passion and work with the leaders in our community and our region will help provide a better standard of care to everyone who comes through our doors.”
Ms. Roberson is also a member of the Executive Committees of the Denver Chamber Board of Directors, the past chair of the Workforce Development Council for the Denver Metro Chamber of Commerce and the Metro Denver Economic Development Corporation.
Becker's Hospital Review included Ms. Roberson in the 2011 Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know. The designation puts her among an elite group of the nation's most respected adn talented individuals in the healthcare industry.
In April 2011 Ms. Roberson was named 2011 Athena Award Winner by The Colorado Women's Chamber of Commerce. The Athena Award is presented each year to a woman who has combined leadership in her profession, made a significant positive impact on her community and exemplifies social responsibility.
In addition to her leadership roles in Denver, Ms. Roberson’s other professional involvement includes positions on the board of the Federation of American Hospitals, having served as chair of the CEO committee and member of the Public Relations and Legislative committees, and the Colorado Health and Hospital Association. She is a Metropolitan Delegate to Region 8 of American Hospital Association and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She serves on the state board of March of Dimes and was the 2007 Chair of the March of Dimes Chef Dinner. Mimi also serves on the board of the Community College of Denver Foundation.
In 2009, she was appointed by Governor Bill Ritter to serve on the Provider Fee Oversight and Advisory Board, where she was elected Vice-Chair.
Ms. Roberson was appointed by Governor Bill Owens in 2002 to serve on the Colorado Workforce Development Council.
Before coming to Denver, Ms. Roberson was CEO of two hospitals in Louisiana: Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Lafayette and the Medical Center of Southwest Louisiana. Ms. Roberson and her husband, Ed, are the parents of four children.
